On Saturday, June 4 at 8:00 p.m. we are waiting for you at the MARINA SERVICE to remember Rafa Marín through his book HISTORIAS SALADAS.
Presentation by Sergi Medir and Luis Conde.
Rafa Marín shares his experience in the first person: from his beginnings as a sailor to being a professional skipper. A story written from the unconditional love of the sea, in a humorous key, in which he shares his adventures, learnings and reflections. Very funny stories, told with that positive way of acting that he had.
Historias Saladas is a book where all the writings and drawings that Rafa was doing while sailing the world’s seas, both professionally and privately, have been compiled. The drawings are made with a four-color BIC pen, which Rafa always carried with him and spent hours and hours drawing. The quality of the drawings is amazing.
The book has been a bestseller. Remember that all profits from the sale of the book are going to the Ecomar Foundation. A non-profit entity founded in 1999 by Theresa Zabell, the only Spanish woman to win two Olympic Golds, which is dedicated to raising awareness and educating about the benefits of water sports and commitment to caring for the environment, carrying out activities such as shoreline cleanups.
They hope to have a second edition of the book available soon, you can contact their Instagram to pre-order the second edition.
If you are interested, he also has his original blog, rafamarino.blogspot.com, written by himself, where you will find writings from 10 years ago!
